History

St. Laudine's Academy (SLA) is one of the nation's oldest private educational facilities, having been founded in 1692. The campus, originally located in Boston, Massachusetts, has moved locations several times. Although the school briefly disbanded in 1864, by 1870 the school had found its permanent home in a small Mississippi town, where students could learn and grow in relative privacy.

In 2008, SLA launched its online learning environment, intended as a replacement for other outdated methods of distance-learning. Thanks to generous donations from Hutchinson BioTechnology, the campus has experienced a technological revolution. We are taking the next step forward in the education of our youth.
